Inter Milan are set for a showdown with Serie A rivals Juventus for Manchester United star Paul Pogba and could offer Ivan Perisic as a bait to seal the switch.
According to a UK Daily Mail report citing Italian news channel Tuttosport, Man United boss Jose Mourinho is keen on Inter Milan pair Perisic and defender Milan Skriniar, in the coming transfer window in January.
The report further hinted that the San Siro dwellers are set to name Giuseppe Marotta as their new CEO following his exit from Juventus and is ready to splash the cash next summer.
However, the report acknowledged that discussions are yet to commence between both clubs, the Italian side are also looking at their Financial Fair Play status.
Perisic has been repeatedly linked with a switch to Old Trafford summer but it now seems Inter now ready to do business
On the other hand, 23-year-old Skriniar is also on Mourinho's wish after admitting, he wants to sign a centre back to help the Red Devils quest for honours this season.
Currently, Manchester United are 12 points adrift of Premier league leader City, but Pogba and Mourinho's relationship continue to take centre stage after the Frenchman absence from the 3-1 defeat by neighbours Manchester City.
