Former Arsenal attacker Gervinho has called his ex-Roma teammate Mohamed Salah a 'madman' because of his crazy training routine.
The former Ivory Coast international who had a short spell with the Gunners hailed the Egyptian's mental strength when it comes to training sessions.
The duo enjoyed their time together at the Stadio Olympico before Salah left to join Chelsea during Jose Mourinho's era.
"Salah is a tough guy," said Gervinho, who returned to Serie A this season with Parma, told the Guardian.
"Always calm and strong, with the mentality of a hard worker.
"I'll never forget his training sessions: very high rhythm, pushed like a madman, you watched him in amazement.
"He had a sort of positive effect - you saw Salah and wanted to work harder. Talent and sacrifice."
The 26-year-old was named Roma's Player of the Season, finishing as the club's top goalscorer with 15 goals in all competitions.
Gervinho struggled in the Premier League under Arsenal and was often criticised for his wastefulness in front of goal.
But Salah, on the other hand, hit top form in his debut season with Liverpool and was named the best player in the whole of England.
