AC Milan chiefs have held talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic's agent Mino Raiola over a sensational deal to see the Swede legend return to San Siro.
According to a UK Sun report citing Milan News International, a deal was agreed after discussions lasted over four hours.
"In the past hours meeting between Raiola and Management Milan, lasted 4 hours. Central theme #Ibrahimovic and other market solutions for January. The deal comes alive @MilanNewsit @RMCSportNetwork," a tweet from reporter Antionio Vitiello read in part.
The 37-year-old Ibrahimovic has been scoring for fun since joining MLS side LA Galaxy from Manchester United in March 2018.
At the last count, the veteran forward netted 22 goals in 28 games as LA Galaxy failed to reach the play-offs.
Interestingly, additional report from Mediaset claim Ibrahimovic has been handed a six-month deal on offer and a November 25 deadline to accept or reject, but the big Swede is seeking a year and half contract.
During his previous stint at the San Siro, Ibrahimovic scored 42 times for the Rossoneri in two years before leaving for Ligue 1 champs PSG.
