Manchester United star midfielder, Anthony Martial, has revealed he enjoys a cordial relationship with Jose Mourinho.
The Frenchman repulsed existence of any tension between him and the United boss, despite pushing for a move away from Old Trafford in the summer.
At the time, the France international's agent Philippe Lamboley claimed his client wanted to leave the Manchester club, but United executive Ed Woodward blocked the move.
The uncertainty that surrounded Martial's future at the club saw him extend his stay from United's pre-season tour in the US after his girlfriend gave birth, a move that angered Mourinho.
However, following his blistering performance against Chelsea in United's 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, October 20, Martial denied presence of bad blood between him and the boss, insisting that their relationship is built on solid foundations.
"Come on - things were not tense between us to begin with," the Metro UK quoted the 22-year old midfielder.
"We have a player-coach relationship and I hope that we will continue like that and bring Manchester United as much as possible, " he added.
Martial went on to decry United's poor start to the season, noting that the team will be looking to build on their performance against Chelsea to turn things around.
