Ex-Real Madrid boss Fabio Capello has pleaded with his former employers to sign Inter Milan's Argentina forward Mauro Icardi as a replacement for Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo.
According to a UK Mirror report, citing Spanish news outlet Marca, the Italian tactician says the Argentine is a "specialist" just like Ronaldo.
"I'm a fan of Icardi. If I were at Real Madrid I would sign him immediately," Capello admitted
Interestingly, the Los Blancos have been struggling under new boss Julen Lopetegui since replacing Frenchman, Zinedine Zidane in the summer.
Currently , the Galaticos are placed fourth in the La Liga log after eight games, scoring just 12.
The fans are already showing they are missing their Portuguese talisman, who joined Serie A champions, Juventus for £100m after the summer Mundial in Russia.
"He (Icardi) is a player who 'sees and feels' the goal, he knows how to move in the penalty area like few others, if you put three balls in the area he hits all three," stressed Capello, who had two spells at the Los Blancos (1996-1997) and ( 2006-07) campaigns.
