Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to play Alexis Sanchez in a new position, according to Mirror, quoting Bleacher Report.
The Portuguese tactician has been playing the Chilean in a wide position this season and the 29-year-old has been struggling for form.
In United's last game against Newcastle where they dramatically came from behind to win 3-2, the former Arsenal man ended up playing through the middle.
Sanchez in this position, linked up well with Romelu Lukaku and even ended up getting the all important winner against the Magpies.
And Bleacher Report understand Mourinho is planning to maintain the Chilean coming in through the middle in subsequent matches.
Majority of United players are on duty during the international break this week, with the break coming at a good time this season.
Mourinho's men started brightly with a matchday 1 victory of Leicester City at Old Trafford but have struggled for consistency since.
The win over Rafa Benitez's side restored faith in Mourinho's ability as a manager but he must find a way to get the best out of Sanchez.
The Chilean is the club's highest paid player and was Arsenal's top man before he made the January move from the Emirates.
