Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed how Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho convinced him he is a top manager during their time at Serie A outfit Inter Milan and later at Manchester United.
According to a UK Mirror report citing BetHard, the big Swede, who enjoyed success stories with the Portuguese tactician at both Old Trafford and San Siro, believes the under-fire manager is a 'Special One' and will definitely, turn things around at Old Trafford.
"Why is Mourinho so special? First of all because he's a winner - he has this winner mentality. He does everything to win," Ibrahimovic was quoted as saying by BetHard.
"He knows the game. He reads the game well. He manipulates, not the game, but the minds of his own players.
"I remember when he came first time in Inter, he made everybody give 200 per cent - but not for the team, not for the club, for him.
"And that for me makes him very special, because when he came out on the big stage he was something different.
"He was not that classical coach. I remember I had (Fabio) Capello. Capello was hard, was discipline, was respect. Mourinho brought that but at the same time brought something else: character.
"He had different character, this way of expressing himself," stressed Ibrahimovic, who alongside Mourinho were often branded 'arrogant'.
But Ibrahimovic, who netted 29 goals in a single season with Mourinho in Italy, claiming the Serie A title, alongside another 29 in 53 appearances during their reunion as Man United claimed both the Europa League and League Cup, says that such utterances can only be blamed on ignorance.
