Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is reportedly edging close to landing Aston Villa managerial job.
The Frenchman was part of the Belgium team that won bronze medal at this summer's FIFA World Cup staged in Russia few months back.
He was tipped to be announced as new Bordeaux coach few weeks back but both parties failed to agree on terms.
The former Barcelona striker has not hidden his desire to manage a club side after ending his time as a pundit for Sky Sports.
However, TalkSport quoting the Mail claims the 41-year-old might succeed Steve Bruce at the Villa Park while Chelsea legend John Terry is poised to be his assistant.
Bruce was axed by the Championship club earlier this week after a woeful run of just one win from ten games.
Terry made 32 appearances for Villa last season after his 19-year spell at Stamford Bridge came to an end and helped them reach the Championship play-off final, where they lost to Fulham.
