Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has revealed that the Blues' dressing room tease summer signing Jorginho for his close relationship with manager Maurizio Sarri.
Brazilian-born Italy international Jorginho starred for Sarri at Napoli before following him to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
He has since installed himself as permanent fixture in Chelsea's first team who have impressed in their first seven games of the Premier League season, but that has not stopped him being on the end dressing room jibes from his team-mates.
In a joint interview with The Times, Hazard confirmed a comment from Willian who joked Jorginho was 'Sarri's son'.
'Jorghino's playing fantastically at the moment," Hazard said. 'He controls the midfield. He likes the ball. He had the confidence with the manager already because he played with him before.
'He knows the manager. In the dressing room we say that Sarri is the father of Jorginho because they always talk and laugh together, but I understand why because Jorginho is a fantastic player. He makes life simple for us, the right ball at the right moment."
'In football being a teacher's pet doesn't really come into it," he says, "and there's a lot about our relationship that people don't know so pet does not come into it.'
Chelsea take on Southampton on Sunday hoping to continue their unbeaten start to the season where a win would take temporarily take them to the top of the league before Liverpool host Manchester City later in the day.
