Real Madrid remain winless in four consecutive matches as they were beaten by 1-0 draw at Alaves in La Liga.
The European champions were contained by the resolute Alaves defence as they continued to miss chance after chance.
The only goal of the match was scored by substitute Manu Garcia who squeezed in a header at the near post in the 94th minute to hand Los Blancos their first defeat of the season.
Julen Lopetegui's side were beaten in the Champions League in midweek by CSKA Moscow and had previously lost to Sevilla as well as a draw at home to neighbours Atletico Madrid.
The loss now puts Lopetegui on the hot seat and could be sacked if there are no improved results in subsequent matches.
Alaves are now level on points on the table with 13 points with Real Madrid and Barcelona, who have a game at hand.
Valencia will host Barcelona on Sunday while Atletico Madrid will play Real Betis at home for a chance to climb above their city neighbours.
