Arsenal superstar Aaron Ramsey is doubtful for his side's Europa League clash against Qarabag at the Azersun Arena on Thursday.
The midfielder is expecting a set of twins with his wife Collen and has reportedly informed the Gunners manager of his absence for the game.
He was part of the team that beat Watford 2-0 in last weekend's Premier League encounter - though yet to register a goal this season but has two superb assists to his credit.
SunSport however report that Ramsey might dump the north London club at the end of this season after failing to nick a new contract with the Emirates Stadium outfit.
Meanwhile, the manager while reacting to the player asking to be excused for the game said that: "Ramsey asked me if he can stay in London because his wife is pregnant and they are waiting on the doctors."
The Premier League contenders will also be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (illness) and Petr Cech (hamstring) for the match in Azerbaijan.
While Henrikh Mkhitaryan stayed back in London due to tension between the country and his native Armenia.
However, that will not stop Emery from naming a strong squad for the game as he looks to secure qualification from the group stage as quickly as possible.
Emery added: "The best idea is to think only of the match tomorrow and with the respect for this competition because we want, at the end, to finish first in the group.
"We want to win tomorrow with the best players for playing ."
