Spanish giants Real Madrid have suffered a setback in their attempt to prize away VfB Stuttgart's Benjamin Pavard.
According to a UK Sun report, citing sources in German's Sport Bild, two Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are also in the running to sign the talented full-back Pavard, but Stuttgart chiefs are not eager to let go of the French World Cup winner in January.
Interestingly, in rejecting Real Madrid bid for the 22-year-old, the Bundesliga side were eyeing a massive fee for the right-back, who performed excellently with France's Les Bleus during their success, at the summer World Cup in Russia.
In addition, the Bundesliga club reportedly have no plans of offloading an important squad member like Pavard, during the forthcoming winter transfer window.
But the Los Blancos are still keeping vigil ahead of Pavard's potential suitors.
On the other hand, Bayern Munich unlike Real Madrid are ready to bid time to the end of the 2018/19 campaign, to make their intentions known.
Interestingly, Pavard, who was in action in all games for France during the mundial, was a surprise inclusion, but ended up carting home the best goal of the tournament for his strike against Argentina.
