Jordan Pickford has committed his future to Everton by signing a two-year extension to his contract taking his stay with the club until 2024.
The 24-year-old joined Everton from Sunderland in a deal worth a potential £30m with add-ons last summer and enjoyed a good debut season despite the club's inconsistent form.
Already working alongside his third manager at Goodison Park in Marco Silva, Pickford was the undisputed No.1 under both Ronald Koeman and Sam Allardyce, making 38 Premier League appearances last season.
During his time with Everton, Pickford has emerged as Gareth Southgate's first-choice goalkeeper and he puts his international promotion down to joining the club following Sunderland's relegation from the top-flight.
'When I made the move last year I thought Everton would be a great club to come to and the right step in my career," he told the club's website.
'Getting the opportunity to become England's No. 1 was down to being at Everton, I believe, and being able to put in solid performances week in and week out.
'Coming to Everton, a massive club with a massive history and seeing how passionate and determined the fans are, it's inspired me to perform week in and week out and it's moved my career on, without question.
'I want to play as many games as I can for the Club, that's my goal now. Hopefully, I can continue to progress, become a better goalkeeper each and every day and keep that England No. 1 shirt as well. That's another aim.
'This is a great club for me and, hopefully, we can get the success for the fans to earn the right to be a legend at Everton one day, each and every one of us.'
Pickford impressed with his performances during the World Cup, featuring in all seven of England's games as Southgate's side reached the semi-finals for the first time since 1990.
After receiving criticism for failing to keep out Adnan Januzaj's strike during England's 1-0 defeat to Belgium in the Group Stage, Pickford was the hero against Colombia in the last-16, saving from Carlos Bacca during a penalty shootout win.
Since returning from Russia, Pickford has played in all six of Everton's Premier League matches this season and although he is yet to keep a clean sheet, he has made 17 saves in total.
Following their 2-0 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend, Everton are 12th in the Premier League table having won only one of their six league games and they will be looking to better that record at home to Fulham on Saturday.
