Manchester United star donates N29M towards young boy's cancer treatment

Manchester United star Nemanja Matic has been identified as the €70,000 donor to the treatment of little Dusan Todorovic.

The young man is suffering from neuroblastoma - the same cancer late Sunderland fan Bradley Lowery battled.
With the Serbia's' kind gesture, Dusan can now travel to Barcelona for proper treatment hoping to get better.

According to the Mirror, the Red Devils midfielder opted to be anonymous, but the boy's father decided to reveal the man who rendered help to his son.

There's no guarantee the treatment will work, but Dusan is now said to be in Barcelona with club Partizan Belgrade saying: "Nearly €200,000 has been raised towards the treatment of ill four-year-old Partizan fan Dušan Todorović .

"This total includes money raised from ticket sales for the FK Rad game and a Crvena zvezda fan who auctioned his ticket for their Champions League matches. Well done all."
The same publication also reveals that this is not the first time Matic has done something like this.
He grew up in the village of Vrelo in western Serbia, which has a population of just over 1,600 people.

The store attendant, Liljana Popovic, said: " The first thing that Nemanja does when he gets here is to visit the local store where he asks for the list of debts of the local people who only buy basic products, and he pays for everything, for everybody. "

The principle of the school Bosko Saric commented: "Nemanja funded the playground for the children and says he will continue in summer.
"He plans to bring mobile baskets, goals, and balls, as well as sports equipment. "

The villagers describe how the much-loved figure even settles the gaming debts of his peers and also finances the construction of the village's drinking fountain in front of the local church.
