Real Madrid superstar Luka Modric has reportedly informed his close friends that he will join Inter Milan in January.
The Croatian captain was heavily linked with a move to the Italian League side this summer but the deal was supressed by the La Liga giants.
Los Blancos lost their star striker Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus in a mega deal during the transfer window in August.
Real Madrid will not watch another of their key players leave at the same time, hence, they stopped the Modric deal from going through.
However, according to Sport Media Set, the 2018 FIFA World Cup golden ball winner wants to exploit the window of the market in January 2019.
The 33-year-old wants to be a part of Inter project while challenging Cristiano Ronaldo's Juventus in the Serie A.
Both Ronaldo and Modric helped the Galacticos win three straight Champions League titles in the last three seasons before the Portugal international left the Spanish club last month.
After winning four Champions League titles at the Santiago Bernabeu, Modric wants a new challenge at a different club and in a different league.
