Real Madrid star Gareth Bale rejected a contract offer from Premier League giants Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
According to a Tribal Football report citing sources on El Chiringuito de Jugones, the Red Devils were keen on landing the Welshman, but the former Tottenham ace opted to remain at Santiago Benerbeau after receiving assurances from Los Blancos new boss Julen Lopetegui.
"At Real Madrid, Gareth Bale earns €14 million net with incentives and he was offered €25 million net per season, " Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, was quoted as saying on El Chiringuito de Jugones.
Interestingly, it was further disclosed that Manchester United chieftains informed Real president Florentino Perez they were ready to splash out about €250m for Bale.
However, the Galaticos boss handed Bale the privilege to make the final decision where he wants to stay but the Wales captain, opted to remain at the Spanish side after spending seven days during preseason training with the former La Roja tactician Lopetegui.
