Eden Hazard has advised Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri to keep Ruben Loftus-Cheek at Stamford Bridge.
Loftus-Cheek impressed during his season-long loan at Crystal Palace last season and also showed potential for England at the World Cup but his position at Chelsea is uncertain ahead of the new season.
Hazard's future at Stamford Bridge is also unclear as he has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Barcelona but the Belgian firmly believes the Blues would truly benefit from keeping the 22-year-old.
'Ruben is still young, of course, but I think if we can have him in the team this season it's a plus for everyone,' Hazard told the Evening Standard.
'I know his quality. He is young, he is powerful. The future will be top for him.'
Loftus-Cheek cut his holiday short after the World Cup to start training on July 30 and came on as a substitute in the pre-season friendly match against Arsenal last week.
The England international is determined to become a Chelsea regular but competition is fierce in midfield where the likes of N'Golo Kante, Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Ross Barkley play.
Loftus-Cheek has already warned Chelsea that he will seek another move away if he does not stand a good chance of playing regularly this season.
