Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Gonzalo Higuain, according to reports.
Higuain, the Juventus foward, looks set to leave Turin this summer following the Serie A champions' purchase of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
The 30-year-old is one of the players available for sale so Juve can raise further transfer funds, and Chelsea have been linked with bringing him to England.
Higuain is a reported target of Maurizio Sarri's, who was recently confirmed as Chelsea's new manager following the sacking of Antonio Conte.
It was under Sarri at Napoli that Argentina international Higuain enjoyed the best spell of his career, with his 36-goal haul in the 2015/16 Serie A campaign winning him the Capocannoniere title and equalling an 87-year-old record for the most goals scored in a single Italian top-flight season.
Sarri wants to reunite with his former striker, and negotiations have reportedly already been held between Chelsea and Juventus for Higuain's transfer.
And, according to Tuttosport, talks are so far along the deal taking Higuain to Stamford Bridge could be closed as soon as Wednesday.

The report claims Chelsea will spend around £53million (€60m) to sign the 30-year-old, who started his career at River Plate before moving to Real Madrid in 2007.
