Barcelona are preparing a move for Eden Hazard with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich open to selling the Belgian this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Hazard has just two years remaining on his current deal with Chelsea and is stalling over signing an extension.
According to Sport, the 27-year-old wants to leave Stamford Bridge this summer and Barcelona are now working on a deal to bring the player to Camp Nou.
The report claims that Chelsea's failure to secure Champions Leaguefootball for the upcoming season is one of the key reasons why Hazard is looking to change clubs.
It's claimed that Hazard is 'tired' at Chelsea and wants to leave as he feels the club are no longer able to match his personal expectations.
And Abramovich is said to be ready to offload Hazard as he is considering selling the club, although he has not yet received an offer.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are now exploring the possibility of signing Hazard after missing out on Antoine Griezmann.
The Spanish champions are aware that securing a deal for the Belgian will be a difficult operation and believe the transfer could cost in the same region as the £142 million they spent on signing Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool in January.
Barca are also aware that matching Hazard's salary at Chelsea would make him one of the highest-paid players at Camp Nou.
Speaking on Monday, Hazard suggested once again that he would be open to joining Real Madrid this summer.
'Zidane is someone special it's true, but I think Real is everyone's dream,' Hazard told beIN Sports.
'Zidane or no Zidane, the white jersey [of Real] is special but the blue jersey suits me well so it does not bother me if I stay.
'For now, it's the World Cup. As I have said at least 100 times, I am in Chelsea and for the moment nobody has made me an offer.'
