Real Madrid are already planning a farewell ceremony for Cristiano Ronaldo after deciding to sanction his £88million move to Juventus, according to reports in Spain.
The 33-year-old is on the verge of ending his nine-year association with Real after becoming disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu, while he is keen to test himself in a new league.
According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, met with Real president Florentino Perez on Wednesday night and they agreed the terms of his exit.
Real want at least £88m for Ronaldo and Mendes assured Perez that Juventus are ready and waiting to pay that price tag.
In fact, the Spanish giants are so resigned to Ronaldo's departure they are already putting plans in place for a big send-off, with both parties keen to ensure his he is given a fitting tribute.
Ronaldo claimed a host of titles during his time at the Bernabeu, winning La Liga twice and claiming an astonishing four Champions League winners' medals.
Over his nine seasons he has etched his name into the history of the club by becoming Real's greatest ever goalscorer with 451 goals, and Real have no intention of letting him 'leave through the back door'.
They made that mistake with legendary goalkeeper Iker Casillas, but will put on a grand ceremony for Ronaldo to celebrate his time at Real and wish him luck at Juventus.
Both parties are keen to separate on the best terms possible, while Ronaldo has already given his word to Juventus that he will be moving to Turin.
