Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang broke an Arsenal club record on the first day of pre-season training under the watchful eye of new head coach Unai Emery.
Arsene Wenger's successor took charge of his first session since he was appointed last month and had an early opportunity to run the rule over a number of regular first team players who have not been involved at the World Cup in Russia.
The likes of Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette and Shkodran Mustafi, not selected by Spain, France and Germany, as well as Aubameyang and Aaron Ramsey, whose nations did not qualify, along with new signing Sokratis Papastathopoulos reported for duty at the club's Colney training base and were put through their paces.
The players all underwent rigorous physical tests and medical assessments with Aubameyang showing impressive flexibility and power in a one-legged triple jump test, managing a distance of 7m 97cm which was declared as a club record by one of Arsenal's backroom team.
The former Borussia Dortmund striker joined the Gunners in January and became their most expensive ever signing in a £56million deal.
Aubameyang made an instant impact under Wenger, scoring 10 goals in 13 Premier League appearances and registering a further four assists.
Arsenal begin their pre-season campaign a week on Saturday against Borehamwood, before traveling to Singapore for games against Emery's former club PSG and Atletico Madrid, while they are also due to face Chelsea in Dublin at the start of August.
The Gunners begin their Premier League campaign with a daunting fixture against champions Manchester City at the Emirates and then travel to Stamford Bridge for what is likely to be Maurizio Sarri's first home match in charge of the FA Cup holders.
