Nigeria's Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr has said that following recommendations by the team's nutritionists and medical staff, the Super Eagles who are currently camped on Austria ahead of the world cup, will be staying away from foods like goat meat, peppersoup and other kinds of spicy foods during the competition.
Speaking with Omasports TV, Rohr revealed that the nutritionist had said that spicy foods were not good for athletes. "We have to observe what they tell us, and the medical team agreed that we cannot eat too much fat and too much spice."

Rohr, however, noted that there may be some exceptions whereby the ban could be lifted.
He said, "For instance, there can be an exception on Sunday the night we will be here, there will be a little Austrian music, perhaps a little African food, from Madam ambassador so we will see."
