Chelsea have held talks with the representatives of Bordeaux star Malcom over a summer transfer, though they face competition from Liverpool according to reports in France.
The Brazilian youngster is one of the hottest talents in Europe after a stellar campaign in which he scored 12 goals and laid on a further seven assists in 35 Ligue 1 appearances.
His form saw him linked with the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs in January, though Bordeaux were adamant he would not allowed to leave midway through the season.
But Malcom once again looks set to be part of a transfer tug-of-war, with French newspaper Sud-Ouest reporting that his entourage travelled to England to discuss a move.
Malcom's agent Fernando Garcia - who played a key role in his move from Corinthians to Bordeaux too - is driving the prospective move and met with Chelsea bosses in London.
Bordeaux will demand a fee of €50million (£44m) for Malcom and Chelsea are still working on transfers despite their current managerial situation.
The club are looking to replace Antonio Conte but have struggled to agree a fee with Napoli for first choice Maurizio Sarri, leaving them in limbo.
Garcia also subsequently spoke to Liverpool, who are still looking for a Philippe Coutinho replacement, though neither meeting has yet resulted in a concrete transfer off.
Italian giants Inter Milan, who will be playing Champions League football next season unlike Chelsea, have also shown interest in Malcom and held informal talks.
