Men of the 32 Artillery Brigade in Ondo State yesterday reportedly crushed a 'notorious' Indian Hemp ( cannabis ) syndicate inside a forest in Owo, Ondo State.
The operation followed a tip off on the activities of the gangsters in a hideout in the remote forest in the community.
It was learnt that during the operation, there was exchange of fire between the troops and the suspects who later fled due to superior fire power of the soldiers against them.
The drug dealers were said to have been operating in the farm with impunity. The troops reportedly recovered 63 bags of Indian Hemp, 23 expended cartridges and nine unexpended cartridges.
