No fewer than 15 persons have been reportedly killed in Omoku, Ogba/Egbema/ Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State by a group of gunmen on Monday.
The attackers, who raided the town in the early hours of New Year Day, were suspected to be working for a former militant leader, Don Nwanee.
The State Police Command told Punch, he was aware of the development.
He, however, did not give details as at the time of filling this report.
