Manchester City showed their impressive title credentials, once more, as they smashed Stoke at the Etihad Stadium.
Crystal Palace registered their first points of the season after pulling off an unlikely victory over champions Chelsea, while Watford condemned Arsenal to another painful away defeat.
Elsewhere, Manchester United played out a goalless draw with Liverpool and Tottenham picked up their first Premier League win at Wembley.
But which individuals put in the finest shift of the lot for their team?
Goalkeeper: David de Gea (Manchester United)
The star of what was an underwhelming show at Anfield. Pulled off an unbelievable save to deny Joel Matip and continues to press his case for being the world's best goalkeeper.
Left-back: Jose Holebas (Watford)
Kept Arsenal's attacking threats quiet on a memorable night at Vicarage Road. Showed great quality on the ball going forward as well.
Centre-back: Davinson Sanchez (Tottenham)
Has enjoyed a productive start to his career in England and is already a mainstay in the Spurs defence. Produced a fantastic block to deny a certain Bournemouth goal.
Centre-back: Mamadou Sakho (Crystal Palace)
A key member of a Palace team who finally picked up their first points of the season. Set up Wilfried Zaha's match-winning goal.
Right-back: Joe Gomez (Liverpool)
Managed to keep the likes of Anthony Martial and Romelu Lukaku under control in a feisty encounter. Kept his cool in an atmosphere that could have made others wilt.
Central midfield: Tom Cleverley (Watford)
He may have scored the winning goal, but Cleverley contributed throughout the victory over the Gunners. Largely dominated Xhaka and Elneny in central midfield.
Central midfield: Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City)
The City playmaker was simply out of this world. Creating two of his side's seven goals, the Belgian looked a level above everyone else on the pitch.
Left forward: Leroy Sane (Manchester City)
A menacing presence in the City attacking trident. Showed an almost telepathic understanding with De Bruyne at times and is beginning to show the consistency to match his talent.
Attacking midfield: Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Roy Hodgson pinned his hopes on the return of his star man - and he was not left disappointed. The Ivory Coast international caused the champions countless problems and showed a clinical touch in front of goal.
Right forward: Raheem Sterling (Manchester City)
His impressive performance was complimented by his relentless pressing of the Stoke defence. The unselfish assist for David Silva's goal was particularly eye-catching.
Striker: Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City)
Who needs Sergio Aguero? The Brazilian striker looks to be the all-round perfect striker and has settled into English football with incredible ease.
