Some female armed robbers dressed as nuns are now on the run after they allegedly tried to hit up a bank in Tannersville, Pa., early Monday afternoon, NYDailyNews has reported.
It was gathered that the woman dressed in black and white nun outfits entered a Citizens Bank branch while openly displaying a handgun, 69 News reports.
However, investigators say the women apparently got scared off before they could get any money, the commandment-breaking crooks possibly believing a teller triggered a panic alarm.
There were no injuries while the FBI has taken over the investigation from the Pocono Township Police Department.
