According to a The Sun UK report, a two-year-old girl has died after allegedly being left alone in a car by her "drugged-up" mum.
39-year-old Deanna Joseph from Salem County, New Jersey, was allegedly high on drugs when she is said to have parked her car in her driveway and left her daughter strapped in a car seat.
The child is believed to have injured herself while she was left on her own for hours.
Joseph called the emergency services when she found her daughter unresponsive in the car, according to NJ.com.
The mum was charged with second-degree child endangerment and a medical examiner will determine the child's cause of death.
She will face trial at the Superior court in Salem.
Salem County Prosecutor John T. Lenahan told NJ.com: "It appeared the child was confined in a car seat for an extended period of time while the mother was under the influence of drugs, and may have injured herself in the car seat."
It isn't the first time the parent has been arrested on suspicion of child neglect.
In 2008, she was accused of leaving her 11-year-old and two-year-old children alone at the family home while she was high on drugs in a car park.
She was convicted of cruelty and child neglect and sentenced to five years of probation.
Joseph was also arrested after she was found unconscious in her house while her baby son bathed in inches of water.
At the time, she was sentenced to a year in jail.
If she is convicted, Joseph could face a 10-year prison sentence.
