Liverpool playmaker, Philippe Coutinho, is ready to stay at the club, after accepting that a move to Barcelona will not materialize this summer.
The 25-year-old attempted to force through a switch, by submitting a transfer request by email to the Anfield club. It was immediately rejected.
Coutinho is now in an awkward position, where he now needs Liverpool to welcome him back to avoid derailing his World Cup hopes. The midfielder is currently a key part of Tite's side, who are the second favourites for Russia 2018.
The Independent reports that Coutinho wants to hold clear-the-air talks now, report the Independent, to smooth over relations and help facilitate his path back into the Reds' first team.
Manager Jurgen Klopp, meanwhile, is preparing his side for the second leg of their Champions League play-off against Hoffenheim at Anfield, where they hold a 2-1 lead on aggregate.
