Chelsea Contact Morata Representatives In ' Last Few Hours ' Following Lukaku Snub

Chelsea have contact with the representatives
of Alvaro Morata over a potential transfer deal in the last few hours, according to reports.

The Blues lost out in the race to sign Romelu
Lukaku, who has just been confirmed as a Manchester United player despite Chelsea matching United's offer for the striker.

Chelsea are believed to have set their sights
of signing other targets in the striking position
with the duo of Real Madrid striker, Alvaro Morata and Torino's Andrea Belotti both linked.

Reliable transfer source Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the Blues have been in contact with Morata in the last few hours.

Manchester United were believed to be on the
verge of signing Morata before switching
targets, signing Lukaku instead.

Real Madrid are understood to be asking for a
transfer fee in the region of £80 million which
the Red Devils were not willing to pay.

Torino forward Andrea Belotti also have a
similar release clause of £88 million, with
reports that the Serie A side will not sell if
the transfer fee is not met, leaving Chelsea
with little choice of options.

Blues boss, Antonio Conte is believed to be
furious with the club hierarchy over their slow
approach to transfers this window.

However, Chelsea might be buoyed with news
that Diego Costa is ready to reconsider his
future at Stamford Bridge and could make a u-
turn on his decision to leave the club this
summer.
