Arsenal are reportedly preparing a world-
record £125m raid on AS Monaco for France
international starlet Kylian Mbappe.
If the deal is successful, it would surpass the
current world-record transfer fee of £89m
following Paul Pogba's return to Manchester
United last year.
Mirror reported late Sunday that Arsenal boss
Wenger will use his French connections to
persuade the 18-year-old to choose the Emirates over Real Madrid and Manchester City.
The media outfit said Wenger has spoken to
Mbappe's father Wilfried who has been a huge
influence in his son's career.
The 18-year-old, who has four international
caps for his country, scored 27 goals and
provided 17 assists in 59 appearances in all
competitions for the Ligue 1 champions last
season.
Mbappe is the hottest prospect in European
football after a remarkable campaign under
Leonardo Jardim.
