Kara Loofborough, a 26-year-old female teacher has been arrested for allegedly sending s*xually explicit images of herself and performing s*xual acts while video chatting with a 13-year-old schoolboy.
According to The Sun UK, Kara Loofborough, who taught at Fees College Preparatory Middle School in Tempe, Arizona, admitted to both acts when she was arrested on April 20, police said.
The seventh-grade teacher also admitted letting the victim kiss and touch her breasts.
Police first started investigating after the teen's dad called cops because he was concerned about his son's mobile communication with his teacher Loofborough.
Officers discovered the student had been Facebook messaging and video chatting with her.
The 13-year-old boy told cops his teacher exposed herself on video chat as they talked on the internet.
Police said during Loofborough - while at school - showed the student a video of her performing oral s*x on another male.
A letter sent Tempe Elementary School District to parents following Loofborough's arrest said she had been a seventh-grade teacher at Fees College Preparatory Middle School since August last year.
According to the district, Loofborough sent her resignation for "personal reasons" on March 30 - to take affect from May 1.
In the letter education officials wrote: "At the time she was hired, she had no criminal history reported based on the District's fingerprint.
"Record checks with the Arizona Department of Public Safety and her background check by the District revealed no adverse findings."
It added: "This situation is extremely disturbing for everyone, but we must continue to be focused on teaching and learning for our students and to allow Tempe Police Department to conduct a thorough investigation."
Loofborough faces several charges including one count each of indecent exposure, luring a minor for s*xual exploitation and sending obscene material to a minor.
She remains in custody after a judge set her bond at £782,000.
