Nigerian runner, Blessing Okagbare is through to the 100m semi-finals at Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
In Heat three on Friday, August 12, Okagbare finished second, clocking 11.16s to take one of the two automatic qualification spots.
The Delta State born sprinter was placed on Lane 5 for the race and finished second comfortably.
Tori Bowie won the race in a time of 11.13s, with Angela Tenorio finishing 3rd in 11.35s.
This will be Okagbare's successive 100m semifinal qualification at the Olympic.
She was not the only Nigerian on the tracks on Friday.
Making her debut for Nigeria, Jennifer Madu who competed in Heat 5 finished in a time of 11.61 while Gloria Asumnu finished 5th in Heat 2 with a time of 11.55s.
Orukpe Eraiyokan ran 47.42s to finish 7th in Heat 7.
