Nigerian actors and actresses under the auspices of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, have teamed up with the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, and the United Nations, UN, to fight against the menace of human trafficking.
Notable actors like Kenneth Okonkwo, Uche Ogbodo, Tonto Dike, Charles Awurum and NAPTIP officials, attended the protest which saw them
marched through some streets of Abuja on Thursday.
The campaign 'Project Aatiwac' is an awareness campaign for Nigerians to join them in the combat against trafficking in women and children.
The anti-trafficking campaign is said to be a two-days rally in Abuja.
Chairman of AGN, Mr Agility Onwura declared that the campaign is in solidarity with the UN to mark 2016 World Day against human trafficking on the 30th July.
