Current champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Enyimba, saw their quest to retain the title suffer another blow, as they were beaten 2-0 by relegation-threatened Plateau United on Sunday.
It was the People's Elephants ninth defeat of the season and it leaves them in fifth place on the table with 40 points from 25 games.
Enyimba are now seven points behind leaders, Wikki Tourists and Enugu Rangers.
Meanwhile, Plateau United have moved out of the drop zone and now have 33 points from 27 games.
In the other match of the day, Ikorodu United drew 2-2 with visiting Nasarawa United.
